Many years ago I was in deep prayer with the Lord, inquiring into what was possible and what wasn’t. Of course, His answers generally were what you would expect. Anything is possible, except what is not. He is not bound by anything, but the rules He voluntarily places on Himself. Servants are able to do whatever they are tasked with. The options are somewhat limitless, assuming the actions are valid. That got us onto the topic of time travel.
It’s just another motion, right? Time is just a movement like any other. If miracles, impossible as they are, can happen, why not time adjustment? Its hard to even wrap a human mind around it.
Yesterday I was driving down a two lane highway for about three hours. I kept talking to the Lord during the ride, of course, but that is nothing new. I found myself really wishing the time would pass faster. I found myself feeling that maybe a slight adjustment was actually possible. Miracles seem to flood my prayer life, why couldn’t this one? Just another miracle, right? But of course I’m not the creator of the miracles, God is. I’m just a voluntary servant using the power the Master gives me. Would He provide this? So I put in the request. I got some interesting feedback.
I would have no indication of any change, were success granted. I could start experimenting a little, but obviously no one would ever be able to understand or comprehend the movement. The cliches would not be true. No Delorean....no nothing. I would put in the request, and never see a single bit of progress. The only result would be what God wanted it to be, just like everything else. But obviously this put me in a strange area of contemplation.
In the past when working very seriously on God’s projects, it became hard to keep up. God would ask, I would provide, and vice verse, but when I was younger I could not maintain things very well. I would get tired, I guess you would say. I bit off more than I could chew. So was I doing the same thing now?
Time will tell. But you know what DOES seem to make sense, regardless of anything else? One more ace up my sleeve never hurts.
God truly wants His servants to be perfectly equipped. Make sure what you ask for is necessary. When in doubt, leave it up to Him.
