Why do it? Why NOT do it?
I did not work for many many years in school, just to get stuck with several decades of painful torture. Not all jobs are torture, but a good bit of them are. Today’s message is about dumping them.
Do you think you understand the Internet? The Internet is a TIME-SAVER. Not the opposite. The Internet can take a good bit of the work you do each day, and either eliminate it or condense it. By using various Internet sites over the years, I have been able to build a very successful and satisfying ministry. Soon enough the growth will hit a tipping point, and you’ll see things skyrocket. How do I know this? Its already a proven formula.
Have you read the book “The Five Hour Workweek”, by Tim Ferriss? I suggest you pick up a copy. This book is literally the key to getting another 20+ hours of productivity out of your week. Just by using his tips, you can discover things you never dreamed were even possible. At the same time, he passes along the philosophy that your time is meant to BE ENJOYED....not TORTUROUS!!!
I love the world. I really do. I like taking care of the people and animals in this place. But I also like having some time for ME. I like waking up when my body naturally wants to wake up. I like going to bed when I’m tired, instead of being forced to do it earlier. Why am I like this? Because I appreciate the JOY that these simple actions provide me. What is more Christian than taking advantage of joys that are NATURALLY YOURS ANYWAY!!!
Folks, please examine your time and how you spend it. Your workdays can be shorter. Your effort can go down. You can gain time for relaxation with your family or hobbies. I love my life! I really do. My projects take about two hours of my day. The rest of my time is spent on outreach and some light work that I enjoy doing anyway. That’s a great combination! What kind of outreach? Well, how did YOU hear about us? We answered your prayer, most likely. How would you like to be on the other end of that? Do you think it is fun to do that for people? It is MORE than fun! Its the best.
Some people would tell you that eight hours of work each day is no big deal. Well, it is a big deal to me. I’m bipolar, and I take meds for it. My medication adds a few hours to my sleep regimen. Maybe eight hours is no big deal if you sleep six hours a night, but what if you sleep between 10 and 12? That will motivate you to innovate. That’s what I’ve done.
I’m more than happy to discuss this kind of alternative lifestyle with anyone who messages me. I’m always “open for business”. If you consider helping people for free “business”.
