What do you think God wants from you...?

I don’t know. I never will know. But you know what? Joy breeds joy. Forgiveness breeds forgiveness. And truth is the most powerful force ANYWHERE.

I’m a big fan of the saying, “God is truth.” I actually like it a lot more than “God is love.” Why? Well, love can be a part of truth. It can live within it. It can be under the truth umbrella, to use a metaphor. But I don’t think love is capable of containing truth. I think it can dance on the same floor, but truth easily floods the boat of love. It is just so much more powerful!

Have you heard that Satan was bounced out of heaven because he wanted to be as powerful as God? Do you know what that would have meant? It would have meant that he would have been able to see the truth in everything. That’s what he really wanted. Bang...that was the whole enchilada....the same thing that took out Adam and Eve. Why is it such a big deal? Why is cosmic truth such a wildly powerful force?

Imagine a day where you saw the absolute truth in every situation. What would that do for you? I’m guessing you would not be as bored. You also might have a little fun, as you would probably see the silliness of human life. But what would really spin your noggin around is the thoughts you would view in your family and friends. The hatred, the criticism, the jealousy, the pain. And it goes both ways. You would see how your wife or husband stares at others. You would see how your kids scheme you out of money or favors. You would be able to tell when your boss is about to fire you. You would be on par with God. That’s His big power. That is it. One word, one power, truth.

Obviously love comes into play, but it is secondary. It is the connection. It was built from truth. You must have the truth foundation just to have an ounce of sand on a very small beach. Without a foundation, nothing happens. Nothing can be built. Everything is a washout.

What will really send YOUR faith over the top is looking at the most truthful way to spend your day. Stop fooling yourself into a job that actually sucks. Let life write itself purely due to your choosing truth above all else. What are you really paying for each day? Where do your best efforts really go? If you want to move your life toward a better place, then it is best to start believing things that are truly real. That feat is actually very tough to pull off, since we are beings living within an illusion, hence the strength of actually understanding truth as Jesus defines it.

We all want to make a difference in the world. But none of us will ever get anything done until we embrace truth in all its forms, as strange or surprising as it may appear.
