What does “partially lived” mean? If you are spending more than half of your waking hours doing something that you DO NOT WANT TO DO....consider yourself in that boat.
I don’t care if it is labor associated with your family, or cube work that has gotten to be very painful, or maybe an obligation to a friend that has grown over time....folks....you need to dump that stuff.
It really was only about a year ago that I discovered that there were lots of people my age, 33 then, that had put themselves on an alternative path. They had chosen careers that maximized their free time while keeping their cashflow where it was. Sometimes they even made more. Whatever the case, I decided I wanted a life like that. Hence projects like Free Christian Help, where I give away lots of great free services, but also benefit from referral fees. Obviously I’m not a millionaire by now, but my mind is where it should be.
Hey, I’m not saying that some people out there should stop enjoying their jobs if they really enjoy their job. But most seem to be in another boat. To those folks who want better options, maybe we should talk.
Take a moment to step back and really evaluate where your hours go each week. Are you getting enough sleep? Is your commute too long? Are you only spending 15 or 30 minutes on lunch, by yourself at your desk? Are some of your family relationships suffering? Do your kids want more from you, both timewise and financially, but you can’t supply either? What is your overall situation, and where must changes be made?
I’m not an overnight millionaire. I’m not even an overnight thousandaire. But I have come up with a model that is moving in the right direction. In another few years I should have made some serious progress, maybe something worth sharing with the world.
This is a place filled with opportunity. What we have created in the USA is now flowing into other parts of the world. Christianity is spreading like never before. I’m able to help folks from all over the world, when they were sure there was no u-turn available. But that is what dynamic people and ministries do. They solve problems where no other solution could. I feel like every day I have personally helped thousands of people. Let me tell you, that is an absolutely INCREDIBLE feeling!
I want all of you to start thinking about better ways to live. Life in prison, whether it is literal or cognitive, needs to get tossed. We must enjoy our days, our family, our friends, and our God! This life does not get rewound. We do not get a second chance at this stuff. We are here once, to make as big an impact as we can. Now is the time for action! Don’t let all these wonderful tools go to waste!
