So there is prayer. There is worship. There is speaking in tongues. Visions. Meditation. Communion. Confession. Sacrifice. Service. Did I get them all? Oh wait...there is also the war.
I don't know about you guys, but in a lot of ways I get tired of the good versus evil battle. As someone on the front lines, it begins to look like something that really won't end. Then I'm reminded of a few things.
First, I'm given tools. You can call them weapons, but it would be the wrong word. What I'm provided with are ways to get things done, when the physical world falls short. I could go into detail, but you all probably know what I'm talking about. You would probably agree that you have your own special ways of getting the evil out, and inviting in the Jesus, the ultimate good.
Second, I'm given colleagues. I cherish my connection with all of you. I also understand that as a citizen of heaven, I have colleagues there too. Regardless of your denomination, I'm sure you believe in heavenly intercession. If you don't, then this might not be a group for you.
Third, I'm given orders. The mission is quite clear. I consider my work extremely important. My abilities and talents are used often, and always for Jesus' mission. Everyone has their own bible passage that they like to quote, but I express it in very simple terms: Bring the Jesus. You might say it is a corny statement, but you know what...it describes my mission, my orders, as clearly as it can be described. I'm here to do one thing...bring Jesus, bring Jesus to everyone.
Take this message very seriously. Maybe some of you have identified your tools, colleagues, and orders. Maybe you have parts of that. What I really want to see you concentrating on is being ACTIVE! I have had some experts tell me that Christianity is hitting a slow period. I don't believe it though. Not during a time when it is so desperately needed.
The only way out of here is through Christ. Make sure EVERYONE in your life hears that message.
