It is right in front of you, completely obscuring your vision.
Yes, this is another essay on how evil operates. What I’m going to stay will shock you. If not, maybe you should be writing these messages.
It is really hard to deal with, because its built in. It is hard-coded into our brains. We are born with it. There is no way to truly cut it out. There is no way to trick yourself into thinking it is not there. The best step is to identify it, and then quarantine it.
God talks to me all the time about the best way to deal with that side of myself. He’ll go on and on, offering all these suggestions. In reality I just want the end-all, be-all solution, but that only comes with death.
Let me take a look at you. Okay, you’re a somewhat normal person, if that definition can even be used on someone. You have a reasonable nature, enough to get you through your days. You won’t be dying tomorrow I think. At least you probably won’t. So what should you have to worry about, since you are in the “average” column that most people are? You should worry about the decisions you make that are unduly influenced by parts of you that should best stay quiet.
My thoughts throughout the day are sometimes so bad they are actually painful. I know, you’re saying, “Shay, you’re a citizen of heaven, why does that even happen to you?” Well, I’ll tell you. God is more interested in my eternal education than anything else. He wants me to learn and that comes ahead of everything else combined. “But Shay, doesn’t He want you to have eternal salvation?” I’ve got it already. What do you do once you have it?
You learn some more, and you thank the Teacher for every day that He educates you.
