It is wonderful to have faith! It is awesome, it is amazing, it will transform your life. But you know what? You might not be able to buy your dinner. So more is needed.
Take a look at yourself. Did you do what you wanted to do today? Or did you spend your day in a financial and emotional coffin? What kept you from your goals today? Why could you not push through? Didn't Christ provide what you needed? He did if you were treating Him correctly. He did not if you are missing a good bit of his purpose.
Folks...being poor is not a calling card. God has no desire for you to suffer through each day. He would much rather have your kids in a good school. He would much rather that you live in a quality neighborhood. And most of all, He would like you to APPRECIATE PROSPERITY. Having money is good. Starving is bad.
Why have you gone down the path you have? What twists and turns have you taken that resulted in a poor balance sheet for your family? Start eliminating problems RIGHT NOW. Start wiping debt RIGHT NOW. If you don't like your job and think you could do more....DO IT. Find the hidden light in your socio-economic situation. I have met Christian after Christian hold up their poverty like it is something to be proud of. WHAT? SAY THAT AGAIN? Sometimes Christians find pride in poverty. WHY? I'll tell you why. It has become a familial habit. Their parents did it as an excuse. Their parents' parents did it as an excuse. An excuse to what you ask? An excuse NOT TO TRY!!!!
