The Lord wants to act on absolutely everything you put in front of Him. But even He cannot award good graces to a person who does not deserve them. God is our parent. He's our Father. Good fathers do not reward unruly children. Do not expect incredible miracles if you have been abusing your life or the lives of those around you.
On the flip side, if you sincerely ask for forgiveness, God's grace can return in an instant. And you very well might need it. My family laughs at me when I tell them it is crucial that I stay in God's good graces because I'm on Satan's hit list. Well...what would you expect? I inflict lots of damage on the devil's world. I create lots of u-turns for people that were headed to hell. I create opportunity for people who could not support themselves. Do you think Satan wants someone like me to continue doing my job? Of course not. He is working very hard to get rid of me, and always has.
