I get questions all the time like, “How can I get rid of my enemies?” or “What do I do about this evil spouse of mind?” Well, there are some easy answers: ignore them and leave them.
Christians want to succeed. It is in our very DNA, put there by the Christ Himself. We feel like things are strange when we are battling foes. But that is not really how it needs to be. You can completely turn your back on them, walk away, and they will fester on the inside until it destroys them. It takes no effort on your part! You will be doing the will of God by remaining peaceful and joyful. During this time your enemies will make mistake after mistake until a very big mistake swallows them up.
I know. We all want to stay married. We really do. But folks, evil spouses are everywhere. I hear it all the time. There is a very simple solution: leave them in your dust. God has no intention on forcing you to be with someone who treats you badly. He just does not. If your husband or wife has spiritually walked out on your marriage….then you may as well sync up the physical part of it. If my wife made tremendous mistakes and showed no remorse and made no effort to change…that would be it! She knows that, and she knows it applies to me too. And you know what? It totally works. We toe the line that God created and it works!
Take some time to ask yourself how much fighting you do each day. Are you going round and round with your enemies and your evil spouse? Separate yourself! Get away from the madness! It will help you connect with Christ and you will experience more joy and more peace. Simple formula….dump the bad and embrace the freedom it provides!
