Ministry status update

Today I turned to my wife and told her that I loved her more each and every day we spend together. She’s laid up with her broken ankle, stuck in bed. I’m caring for her every day, along with our mothers. I tell Kelly all the time that I wish she could see herself through my eyes, and she concurs. When a marriage is working, it is hard to understand why other folks run into trouble. But the main problem is well documented - money.

Well, there have been some interesting events in the Villere clan recently. My brother is headed to college. My other brother seems to have found a girlfriend he might stick with for awhile. My father-in-law retired. My dad is still pounding the gavel as hard as ever. Do you know what I have noticed the most? My ministry. Out of all the stuff going on, my ministry seems to be the biggest change.

Why? Well, I seem to have hit the formula that makes sense. We are able to bring in money each week, without donations. I’m able to send money to other folks that are in desperate need. I was able to send a donation to the Red Cross on behalf of a good friend. I sent a donation to a wonderful little church that my friend’s dad runs. Why can I do all this? Google and Facebook.

What I am producing now, from a content standpoint, is the same as it was in the 90’s. But Google and Facebook have allowed me to connect with people in a dynamic way. The ad engines at Google and the social connections at Facebook have pushed my ministry into overdrive. When will it stop? Not too soon it seems.

If you are someone stuck in the mire of life, and you could use some prayers, as well as a few extra bucks, let’s start talking. My projects lift you up spiritually and financially, and at this point, with all the advancements, this process goes very, very fast.
