The importance of this ministry

How many people in your life are broke and confused? Do any of them come to you and ask for help? How many requests for loans have you received recently? Do you see people in your life making bad decisions because their situation has become desperate?

The world is in serious, serious trouble. I commented to my wife yesterday that during a mile long round trip from our house to a store, I was panhandled three times. THREE TIMES! In less than a mile. That may not be a record for you, but it sure is for me.

When I started this ministry 12 years ago, the world was in a different place. Over here in the US we were printing money...in the right way. Business was great, and the priorities were different. 9/11 had not happened, there were no wars happening. The advice requests that came to me were mainly about relationships. Not anymore!

From the view that I have, it seems like every single person in the entire world is either broke or emotionally destroyed by stress. Obviously that's an exaggeration, but I'm sure you can understand how that view is not far from the truth. People need help...badly...and they needed it yesterday.

So, what else am I supposed to do? As a minister of Christ I go where the need takes me. So I provide as much help as I can to the areas that need attention. That is the long and short of it. After processing almost 300 folks through our services menu in the last six weeks, I feel that there has been a significant difference made.

What do I want from you? Not much, well, nothing really, except I would appreciate it if you invited all your friends to this group. The more folks we can connect to, the more help we can provide. That's the name of our game. Pretty simple, pretty easy, and all Jesus!
