The "a" word

I'm not a fan of abortion. In fact, I take it as far as only voting for pro-life political candidates. My life as a pro-lifer began in high school, when my history group did a project on it. My young self had previously thought that abortion was typically done when it was necessary, never as a subjective choice. That was what made sense. I figured the whole world operated like that. Then I saw the pictures.

Have you ever actually seen that stuff? They are the most over the top images you can possibly comprehend. When abortions are performed, it is not clean and neat and easy. It is pain, more pain, and then death. The process is terrible, and I don't know why physicians do it. I guess politics must factor in, but don't medical personnel take pledges to protect life?

I'm not here to get on my high horse about this topic. I just feel the need to float the thoughts around every now and then. People let this gloss over quite a bit, especially now that public American money is being sent to developing countries to fund abortion. The argument would be so much simpler if everyone knew that adoptive parents outnumber abortion victims by a HUGE ratio. For every child that is killed, there are MULTIPLE families that would gladly accept him or her.

Next time you get in a discussion about this, ask your debate partner if they have ever spoken with a mother who has been through multiple abortions. Once somebody takes the time to really hear the first hand accounts, the entire argument appears in a different way.

Want to make a difference? Just change your vote. Make sure that pro-choice candidates never get into office. It is as simple as that!
