Have you ever made a few decisions, and then looked back on them and wondered how they were made? Sometimes it is something I’ve come to call the “heavenly override”.
Let’s face it: death lurks around every corner. Once you are truly working for Jesus, you’re on Satan’s hit list. He is trying to kill you every second of every day. He does not care how it is done. He does not care how many other people he has to go through to get to you. You are marked for death and there’s no way around it. BUT...you also benefit from God’s protection!
I used to tell another Christian friend that when Christians are driving, there are angels in other cars providing protection from Satan. He kinda laughed at me, but folks, I think a lot of you see where I’m coming from. The angels are there, and acting like they are not is simply naive.
There is a section of your mind that God accesses routinely. Your decisions are sometimes heavily or lightly manipulated by the Almighty. I’m not saying He takes over your thinking. I’m saying that He produces a strong case for whatever he’s promoting. Sometimes that kind of influence is for something really important, sometimes it is for something small. But it is there nonetheless. God presents His evidence, uses angel assistants as necessary, and leaves you to your decision. Usually you’ll side with Him!
Take a moment. Evaluate what I’ve just shared. Then look into your life. I think several instances will come to mind where what I’ve spoken of has happened to you. If not, I suggest you look harder.
It is a wonderful feeling to know that God is protecting you! I go through this world with an army of angels following me. How do I know this? Well, part of it is that they have been there a long time. The other part is that I can see them. I’m not psychic. But you know what? Christians have been interacting with angels for a very long time. It is just part of the true Christian experience.
