The problem(s) with formatted religion

People are different. People are the same. There is no guarantee that what works for one would work for all, but before that you have to prove the all exists, which is a challenge all by itself.

I don’t know why we do what we do. I’m attracted to Jesus because I feel that the idea that God sent a hero for me makes plenty of sense. Notice that I said me. I cannot speak in any other context, because I cannot prove any other context exists.

You are walking down the street. A bus comes right at you. In the second before you are crushed, what do you do? You do the same thing as everyone. You hope things improve. Regardless of who you are, you hope for the best. Do you get instant help? Maybe, but most likely you do not have control over that. Does your soul go where you think it will go? Your guess is as good as mine. You still run into the lack of proof problem.

I love Jesus like crazy. I mean I really, really, really love Him. He makes some things very easy for me, but He does not solve all of my problems. Why? I don’t know, maybe it is for my benefit. In fact, it probably is. If I had more miracle power or wisdom, maybe the answer would just pop out of the sky. But some stuff is still a big question mark. And that’s fine with me. That is completely okay. For my situation, I do not need to know more.

The desire to be successful drives a lot of us. But sometimes religion convinces you that average is absolutely spectacular and you should never strive for more. Does that make practical sense? Nope. But maybe it makes you feel good. For me, I have never gotten satisfaction from failing or not trying or giving up. Frankly, some religions not only say it is okay to be average, but that its okay to be dead. Guess what? That’s insanity, and it always will be. God wants you to do well in all aspects of your life. He never has been and never will be into failure.

You are driving down the road. Two signs appear. One says happiness this way. The other says pain and torture that way. But the pain and torture sign also says that the distance is one mile. The happiness sign says the distance never stops. You go on forever. But you never really arrive anywhere. You just enjoy the journey. Do you know how many people are looking for the quick fix? Do you know how many people want the millions today, or the drugs today, or the sex today? So many folks choose that road, it would shock most Christians. Why do they choose that road? Well, stupidity for one, but also inferior religions convince them to do it, and they go along like willing sheep. God does not want you to be a sheep. He wants you constantly thinking, constantly working, and constantly helping Him with His missions. You have all the equipment you need, now it is time to start your projects.

Folks....all Christians should have a mission or a ministry. If you are one of the people that has taken the pain or torture road, I suggest you pull a u-turn. God has a design for all of your time, and to find out what it is, all you have to do is listen to the hum in your brain. God works for you all the time. It is time to return the favor.
