We all play a certain way. We live life how we see fit, make some choices, do some things, and move on. As much as we would love to know how it all ends, the judgment is a mystery until it happens. I have seen some incredible lives lived, only to really wonder what the inner person was, and how God will react to him/her. I'm not perfect. I put all my eggs in Jesus' basket, but frankly I may not be doing that exactly how He wants me to. It is hard to tell.
Do you walk through life, making assumptions, and then catching yourself jumping to possibly false conclusions moments later? I used to think I had a bead on things. Then I turned 16. There is grace involved, which is kind of like God's mulligan, where He produces pardons that no one understands sometimes. But that is a GOOD thing! That means there is hope for the hopeless.
So, what's the lesson? There is always hope when you put your faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the King of Everything. :)
