That’s what this is. You are dreaming. Death wakes you up to reality.
Take a minute. Evaluate things. Do you really know what’s going? Or is 80% of each day a mystery? How often do you look back, maybe even a week or two, and you cannot recall almost everything you’ve done? Proof is scarce. It always will be. Why? This place is packed with more make-believe than a Grimm Brothers fairytale.
I wanted to understand it all. I really did. Then after years of pushing and poking and grabbing and pain, I just realized that the answer was not going to appear, at least not in the form I desired to experience it. So I moved on, and slowly but surely, the only real thing here became known to me, and that’s Jesus Christ.
Non-Christians really don’t get the point. Jesus truly can be your everything! He can get you up in the morning. He can power you through your day. He can give you a peaceful heart during times of conflict, and a happy mind during times of sadness. God gave us the ultimate tool. Christ is exactly what He says He is. There is no reason to go through this sometimes foggy life, unable to truly perceive things. With Christ, He gives you eyes of faith, and you can become an effective soldier in His army.
As an American, I can appreciate the concept of a defensive offense. I know that to prevent future catastrophe, things must be done now. God’s strategy in this place acts in the same way. To keep this place peaceful, to get it moving in the right direction, we all must contribute what we can toward Jesus’ goals. He only has two big instructions....treat other people the way He treats you, as one of God’s children, and share the gospel. Pretty simple. That’s all it takes. If you can manage those two, you are definitely on the right track.
God has missions for you. Note the plural. Not A mission....but missions. And the missions never stop, folks. They go on forever. If you think you die, and then occupy a cloud with a harp, the situation is much different. You go on to your next mission. Simple as that. Now, please don’t entertain the idea of purgatory. That’s not my point. I’m trying to tell you that God’s best agents always have more work. You might get temporary rests, but you will always be used by the Lord if that is what He has decided upon. And trust me, you definitely want that.
